Freedom PDF Pro — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Freedom PDF Pro is a PDF viewer, markup, and takeoff app for Windows. This policy explains, in plain words, what happens with your information.
Your information stays on your PC
- PDFs you open, markups, stamps, Tool Chest items, signatures you save, and app settings (including your display name) are stored only on your PC.
- Sign & Save creates a signed copy next to your original on your PC. The original file is not uploaded or replaced by a cloud service.
- The app has no account of its own from Bill Foster, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking by Bill Foster.
- The app does not collect, sell, or share your personal information with Bill Foster.
Microsoft Store edition
- If you buy or unlock features through the Microsoft Store, Windows checks your license with Microsoft so the app knows what you purchased (for example Easy mode versus Pro / Scotty).
- Microsoft handles that purchase and license under Microsoft's own privacy policy. Freedom PDF Pro only learns whether a license is active.
- Store updates are delivered by Microsoft, not by Bill Foster's servers.
Work / Drive update edition (if you use it)
- Some work copies check a public update file on Google Drive so the app can offer a newer installer.
- That check only asks whether a newer version exists. It does not upload your PDFs or settings.
- Google's handling of Drive traffic is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Files and printing
- Opening, saving, printing, and emailing a PDF you choose happens through Windows and the tools you pick (for example File Explorer or your email app). Those tools have their own privacy policies.
- Freedom PDF Pro does not send your PDF to Bill Foster.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
